Long time no blog...

What have we been up to? I am pleased to announce we are no longer homeless. We moved to a great new house in the woods. I have been decorating like a madwoman and making my nest cozy for my little chicks. I love it here! We have been busy doing the fall stuff that I love. We have made Carmel apples, carved pumpkins, haunted gingerbread houses, had some backyard bonfires, and had the annual, "Dinner in a Pumpkin"...... Good friends post pictures on their blog of their friends when they look good even if you don't..
Make that pictures of their sisters too.

Yaya and Jax made a pirate face pumpkin..........

Ryan brought his main squeeze home for the activities.....

I am afraid this mountain living is turning us into people who really look like mountain people.

One priceless night away from the kids at the Knotty pine. Enjoy the peep show!

Dinner in a Pumpkin

1 small sugar pumpkin

2 onions, chopped
2 cups diced celery
1/4 cup shortening
5 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (20 ounce) bottle ketchup
3 cloves crushed garlic
5 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce

1/4 cup soy sauce
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
2 cups cooked white rice

Put all that good stuff in your pumpkin. Place pumpkin on a baking sheet and cook for an hour at 350...... Enjoy

Oh I forgot to mention that this little woman is now walking all over the house. She really does have to wear a necklace everyday and almost never takes it off. it's too cute.

Happy Fall Everyone!
