Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Jaxon turned the big 3 on June 27th. I'll save you all the time flies mumbo jumbo, but it really does. On Friday we took him to see Kung Foo Panda and to his favorite restaurant that unfortunately has to be Sizzler. Later that night before he went to bed he said, "thank you for my birthday party at Kung Foo Panda". So cute!
Needless to say he was really excited to find out the real party was yet to come. Jaxon requested a monster truck cake. A monster truck cake is what he got. My mom did such a great job on the cake. Jaxon's favorite part was the doughnut wheels. It was a great day and a great party. Jaxon says it was, "The most awesomest day ever". I feel so lucky to be his mom.

My sister, My friend....

Happy 22nd birthday calyn! It seems like only yesterday you were stinking up the car, dressed up in a cheerleader costume, wearing way to much make up and glitter on your eyes, sleeping with E.B., asking mom what BJ's were, going to jail for trespassing, and planning a wedding. Now you are a wife and a mom to be. I love your guts Cali.

Real men wear toenail polish

My mom painted Jaxon's toes over the weekend. He really digs it. The mean older kids at the park today didn't seem to think it was cute. For the first time in my career as a mom I witnessed my child being made fun of. It went something like this, "You're a girl, you're a little dummy girl with pink toes". I literally wanted to kick some five year old but today. Thankfully I resisted. The paint will be coming off tonight. Thanks again Grandma Debbie! haha

The Pregzilla decorates.....

Here it is... This is the crib bedding that I just ordered for our baby girl on the way. Not only did I order the crib bedding but everything else you see in this picture. I can't wait to start my nursery decorating rampage!

Death to the Binky or not?

I can't decide how I feel about the all mighty Binky. We all know how Jaxon feels about it! Pure Love. On one hand the Binky is starting to get semi embarrassing. I'm starting to get the looks at the store and the, "He still has a Binky, how old is he" comments. I also hate the locating of the missing Bink's. He's honestly taken it to a level most kids don't. He requests certain colors of Binky's, covers them with blankets and tells me, "SHHH, my Binky's are resting". Then there's the most annoying part of the Binky problem. One is never enough. Ever since he was tiny he's insisted on having at least two with him at all times, and that's on a good day.
The other part of me says that your kids grow up so fast, whats the harm in a Binky or a blankie? He's not going to take it to kindergarten. At least that's my hope! I also find it endearing when he's runs through the house looking under furniture yelling,"Binky's, Where are you". Then there's the hereditary factor. I vividly remember giving my beloved "WA" to the garbage man when I was about his age. My parents plan back fired because I sucked my thumb until at least seventh grade. My mom would taunt me with, "Bucky Beaver" and put spicy stuff on my finger. Nobody could stop me. My mothers intuition tells me that no one can stop Jaxy either. Addiction runs in our family.

Who Let the naked kid In?

Dallin and Saylor sittin in a tree

What we've been up to.....

We got to hangout with cousin Dallin a bunch this week. Dallin went to a British soccer camp everyday this week. Dallin informed me on our drive home one day that he is going to be a professional soccer player when he gets older. "The bestest soccer player in the whole wide world". Dallin also said,Afton, aren't cousins are the coolest best friends ever?". What a sweet boy! We plyed with Xavier in his awesome new bouncy house. Xavier jumped naked because he's potty training. Theres nothing like a cute little bum jumping in a bouncey castle.

The weekend in review

This weekend was A busy one. We spiffed up the yard, Did some dutch oven cooking with Randy's family, went boating and even brought out the new bouncy house. Ross's brother Randy is a master on the dutch ovens. He put our meager attempts at Dutch oven cooking to shame this weekend. There is seriously nothing better than Dutch chicken the perfect potatoes and some straight to your thighs scones. The bad news is that I was suckered into using some bogus organic mosquito spray that ended up being a total hoax. Organic schmorganic!
Jaxon got his dad a dry suit for fathers day. Ross did some wake skating and stayed warm and cozy. Too bad they don't make maternity dry suits! I finally got the nerve to rock the prego bikini. The bikini picture is my fathers day gift to Rod( Father in Law). Rod is not a fan of pregnant bellies. In fact last night he told me , "Those things need to be kept under wraps at all times". I'll remember that one next time he calls me to remove one of his splinters from his foot. HAHA, love ya anyways Old McBuffer. Did I mention that my boobs are carrying twins? Anyways, happy fathers day Ross! I Think you are the perfect father and I love your guts...

Happy Fathers day

Happy Fathers Day Weekend Everybody! Jaxon is so lucky to have such an amazing dad. He's turning into a major daddy's boy. When Ross leaves in the morning Jaxon says,"Make a lot of money honey". He also pretends like he goes to work with his dad. He tells me that he's so tired and wants to watch Ninja Turtles on his bed cuz he's been working so hard pouring concrete. Jaxon also insists on wearing "workpants" everyday. To him this just means his pants have pockets and belt loops to hang his tool belt from. Ross and I are both lucky to have great dads of our own. I have an awesome step dad too.

Wanna Live Here?

We think we want to sell our house. You wanna buy it? We think it's a great house but true to Carson style we can't stay in one house for too long. We got it all spiffed up to sell today. I really don't want to be worried about packing and moving 9 months pregnant but I may just be. I secretly wish we could buy an old farm house on some land. I can't believe I just said that. I'm turning into such a mountain girl. I can assure you I will still dye my hair and never step foot in public in a pair of crocs no matter how long I live in the mountains.

Pimp Car Seat

Jaxon's car seat was a little nasty to say the least. I sound these awesome covers for your old seat in all kinds of cool fabrics. He thinks it's an entirely different seat. He now wants to be a guitar player like Scott when he gets bigger.

My brother the Water polo Mongrel

I've known for a while about my brothers love for water polo.I secretly think he even enjoys wearing the required Speedo. These pictures make him look so old to me. He's growing up to be such a man. Here's a picture of him at a match. He's the one in the picture who has my nose. Happy Belated Birthday Matt!
