The crash.......
Melissa and I thought it would be fun to take the kids to the spray park today! It would have been if we would have made it there. We were on the road with all three little boys and some crazy guy ran us off the road. luckily everyone was just fine. The Land Rover on the other hand has some serious problems. I can't wait to get my geo or neon to cruise around in till the baby's born. I'm a big dork and took a few pictures of the crash scene. I had the camera packed for some cute spray park pictures. We are just thankful to all be O.K. and to know that the carseats do their jobs!

Jaxon's getaway with the Grandparents
My little boy has returned from camping in Island Park. I was so excited to pick up Jaxon from my mom's yesterday I could hardly stand it. I walked in the door to find him clinging to my mom crying and yelling, "But I don't want to go home". What a traitor, right?. This is not the first time I've drove away from Grandma Debbie's house wondering what she tells him about me when I'm not around.
At least I don't have to wonder if he had a good time! Jaxon and Halle were treated to jeep rides, four wheeler cruises, rock skipping and way to many ice cream cones and smores.
Every time I get pictures back from my mom there's always at least one that involves grandchildren wearing one of her trademark visors. These are no ordinary visors. These are specially made for her and include all the neon colors in the rainbow, not to mention a one of a kind scrunchie-esqu thingy acting as the back of the visor. This part is intended to make sure your hair still stays big and sexy while wearing the visor. Thanks again for the much needed break you awesome grandparents! He had the time of his life.

I'm Bringing sexy back!
Check out the belly folks! I'm officially large and in charge. I go to my doctors appointment tomorrow. I'm excited to hear her little heartbeat again. Jaxon has been camping with Bubba, Papa Leo, Mammy, Papa, and Halle since Sunday in Island Park. Today was my first child free day in along time. I keep asking myself what the heck I used to do with all my time before he came along? I still can't figure it out! I'm sure he is having the time of his life. I miss the little bugger........

Pick Your Battles.......
Before you have kids when you saw a little kid in some hideous outfit they probably picked out all by themselves you'd think to yourself, "I would never let my child out of the house like that". I'm not proud to admit that this is what Jaxon looks like everywhere we go now. He loves his Batman tank and boxer briefs that so nicely complement his fireman rain boots. We're not hard to spot in a lineup: A busting at the seams pregnant chick and her miniature batman. hey, at least he's usually clean. I am slowly discovering that you really need to pick your battles!

Weekend Getaway
We made it out of the valley and went to salt Lake for the weekend. I satisfied my intense cravings for Tepanyaki. One day In the near future I'm putting a hibachi grill in my kitchen. I can't wait to learn how to make onions into volcanoes and flip shrimp into my chef hat.
We did the lagoon thing! Jaxon refused to get on any of the waterslides for some reason so we were stuck walking aroung the theme park area in 100 degree heat waiting in line for flying helicopter rides. All in all he had a good time! There you have it. we dined at some yummy places, hit up nordstrom, and braved Lagoon! Gotta love those family trips!

SuperBoy
Just so everyones on the same page Jaxon would like to be reffered to now as, "Superboy". He is in love with this cape and rarely takes it off only in emergency situations such as a bathtime.
Me: "Are you Superman in that cape?"
Jaxon: "Mom, I'm actually Supermans little boy"
Me: "I didn't think Superman had any kids?"
Jaxon: "Where's my Binkys?"

What a difference a day makes!
I went to my 28 week appointment the other day. The lady who was measuring me was suprised to see that my belly was measuring 4 weeks ahead of schedule. What the heck! They gave me an ultrasound and my mothers intuition was right again. She's a huge beast of a little girl. What can I say, "I like em chubby". I'm literally busting at the seams. These are pictures of me at 8 weeks pregnant and some at 28. I can't believe what a difference 20 weeks makes. I can't wait to squeeze into old grennie for the 40 week shots. stay tuned!
Happy Belated Anniversary to us....
It seems like yesterday Ross and I were two Young lovebirds planning a wedding. Ross and I net in Jackson Hole 5 years ago and it's been on ever since. We were engaged 3 months after we met on a sandy beach in Mexico and married 7 months later in California. A week before our one year anniversary we welcomed baby jaxon to our little family. Three years later we are getting ready for the next addition to our expanding brood. I guess you could say we don't mess around. When you know, you know! Here's to many more years of marital bliss. I can't wait to see what the next 50 years brings. Cheers!

Picnic at the park........
On sunday we had a picnic at the park. My Grandma Judy and Grandpa Dan came into town to see some of their grandkids and great grand kids. My other granparents even came out for the celebration. I'm so mad I didn't get pictures of the grandparents. What was I thinking? It was fun seeing everyone together. The park picnics are definitley the way to go with a big crew like ours. So much better than wrangling kids at a restaurant or squeezing everyone into my moms living room. Once again all the pregos were together which means tons of unflattering pictures that make us all cringe. I know we will be happy to have them as memories one day when all of our little ones are playnig together and we are back to our normal human forms. Until then, bring on more of my mom's Texas Cavier. This dip is the best ever. I may make some tonight and post the recipe here later. You'll all be thanking me later.
Jackson Lake
We did manage to squeeze in some fun this weekend. We met up with the other Carsons on Jackson Lake and did some fishing. I forget how gorgeous it is there everytime we go. There really is nothing in the world like it. jaxon is always talking about fishing.
JAXON: "I'm gonna catch em, cook em in a pan and eat those fishes"
His bark is bigger than his bite. When Dallin caught a fish Jaxon freaked out. The only part he was into is when Randy cut the head of the fish. go figure! We got back to the camper at about 11:00 and there was a note on the door from the park ranger that said, "This area is deemed unsafe by the national forest service due to bear activity". All the Carson girls freaked and the camper had to be relocated to a safer spot. Scary huh?
Home of the Brave.
Our 4th this year wasn't the most exciting we've ever had. we slept in and didn't make it to the parade and we talked about what we were going to do that night for about 4 hours.. Nothing really came of that, so we settled on watching the fireworks from our front porch and letting Jaxon have fun with some sparklers. Can't wait to see what next year has in store for us. God Bless America!
